Next we visited mother of my mother. In very interesting town - Pabradė. There you can find more foreigners then in all Vilnius. Well, that’s just my guess, but it just feels like that. Well, there is Lithuanian registration centre of illegal foreigners. Just some facts - from 1997 it was temporary home for 5420 foreigners, most of them were Russians (~22%), Afghani (~14%) and Pakistani (~10%).
But that facility is not really related to my - we just visited my grandmother. Brought back PS but my spare TV set is broken so I’ll have to fix that first to play… let’s say… Medal of honour.
This dog knew what I was doing.
As I’m trying to be really honest about pictures I take each day, I must state that today I took only this picture. Well it wasn’t really the only one but this was the most interesting and intriguing. I like the position of X in the picture. Well, that is shite I’m talking here, but if you are interested in doing this kind of random picture it is fairly easy - don’t hold your camera still while shooting at slow shutter speed. Or spin it round and round and round.
Today I visited Vilnius book fair. Felt quite crowded but it was worth it. Well, I bought Ogilvy book - Confessions of an Advertising Man 10 Lt cheaper. Another interesting corner - Japanese books. Lithuanian market is, I dare to say, too small for Japanese books. I imagine some people buying them for show-of in their rooms or souvenirs or interesting gifts. Others may buy it because they are interested in anime and manga. And of course some of customers know Japanese language and use those as they should be used :)
Well and in the evening Ievas friends built her completely new wardrobe with agricultural feel in it. Dig it?
Got 5. It doesn’t really matter. All that matters is that I passed. By the way - do you see smiling face? Mine got a smile too ;)
I think it’s Saturday and we are celebrating Kazimieras birthday. Wotcha. Mary Jane. Buzz. Absinthe. Smoke in the house. Well for real, not literally. We had to warm up with hard wood and something was wrong with fireplace. But it was really fun when from the whole bunch of guests we (Neringa, Lukas, Kazimieras and me) were left there. Other left. Their fault. And we hadn’t tasted Absinthe. We drank some kind of brandy and… don’t really remember.
Photo of Kazimieras.
She told me that she finished her second 36 frame film roll. Can’t wait for results to come - I just loved and LMFAO watching previous. I’m so proud of her.
BTW - she is shooting with old soviet VILIA camera, semi-automatic. Another blog entry from a guy using VILIA. And looks like lomogaphy.com is on official beta now, adding new features. Great, I’m looking forward to lent Smena 8M from Karolis. And BTW2 - I have old Fed 5 around my house. Need to fix it.
Beautiful day. Went to lectures today (Management, A. Marčinskas) and then to the city center. Me, sis and my mum walked around, then went to Coffee Inn. Meeting Paula led to excursions round the optics looking for fancy glasses. For her and for him. I think I chose mine and Paula bought hers. And today is my grandmas birthday, if I’m not mistaking anything, she’s 75 now. Deal or no deal?
