Coming from the mist of dreams is Aina.
Some days just doesn’t have any pictures. I’m late with my schedule.
And now - the reason why I was so slow on puting photos up in the blog - no, I don’t have a child as everybody around - but I was shooting with my “MINOLTA F10 Free Focus - Date” compact film camera recently. Here are the scanned photos. What can I say - it’s fun, it’s experimental, it’s quite lomo, quite 90s and quite shit. Judge yourself :)
Some party time! Yesterday me and Neringa met Julita and visited Karolis party. And today we went to a preparty with Dagnis and Eglė. All guests went to Pacha then but as we (plus Laurynas and Aina) are not into these kind of clubs we decided to visit Daumantas. Again calm stay at his place and then we headed home.
In this photo - Alina resting on a couch.
Oh, I almost forgot about this photo. As I took this photo about a month ago I think I can mark this happy date and publish it. Well, it’s not perfect, but it’s quite good.
Had a little trip to the shop today. But we had bigger plan, so after that we headed directly to the park, again, taking pictures all the time. Laurynas with his Nikon SLR camera (don’t really remember which exactly), Neringa with Diana Lomo camera, Aina with already mentioned Zenit (well she caried it but forgot to take out) and me with my Canon 1000D. I think we had some great pics along the way - I’m planning to put out whole trip to my Picasa Web albums.
When Aina told that she never had a photo on this famous sculpture (Eglė žalčių karalienė skulptūra) we decided to have mini-photo-shoot, while… kissing with ice-cold Eglė-woman-sculpture ;)
Wow, what a relief. After all those exams finally we can get some rest. And thanks to Neringa’s mum we can achieve this easily. We eat incredibly tasty-fucking-licious food, sleep till noon, walk around Palanga, wandering trough bazaars or old abandoned theme parks, taking pictures, talking gibberish… Ah, holidays.
In this picture - Aina with her borrowed Zenit camera at agro-market. I wished this pictures was more focused and sharper.
Yah, got 7 from exam, so that means I passed all of them and we are ready to have some deacent rest. See ya after weekend. And yes, I’m taking my camera with me.
Laurynas.
Back at a time when this was from one of my first films with Vilia. And yesterday Laurynas and Aina came to Neringas place, to make incredible waffles with ice-cream. Amazing evening. We closed the night with premiere of If Only.
Just one thing - just love her. Touching movie.
Wow. What a night! As Neringa suggested we went to photograph the night. So at noon we drove to Lentvaris, while traveling took few shots near Gariūnai. We were heading to Lentvaris estate (or manor house you can call it), but it’s now private or something like that, so we took some shots near it and then found incredibly abandoned house with big Atlantes sculptures. Later we headed to take some pictures on a road near Kariotiškės and then - on the rails, where Laurynas got hit by a plastic bottle flying out of passing train. What a night.
You can see the whole set at my flickr page, Photo Sessions set.
It’s my fathers birthday. I won’t lie - last week was very poor to achieve photographic record or something like that. I’ll try to fix this gap with some interesting stuff I made myself, beginning now and going back till 11.16.
I took this photo with my mobile phone on my way to Aina’s places (reinstall windows) - some photoshop done (curves, contrast, noise, clouds, layers and some vignette/lomo blacks on sides). You can see original here. Which one is better?
I took this photo (original, no retouching) long time ago. Tommorow I will play with it around some time to achieve result you can see now. Why Tomorrow? Because I’m posting in ascending date right now. This behavior grows from my lazy lifestyle.
Today we celebrated Kazimieras birthday [harshly]. OK - I was sobber as a nail, but those two guys drank till 6 in the morning. I admire them. Today I had to take my jolly father from his birthday celebration, and in the morning drunk as trunk Kazimieras.
It’s easier to say some things with a smile - says one of the commercials nominated for Cannes Lions 2008. Let’s make it stuff of the week. All three of those. But I really think, that the message is real. Smile. For gods sake.
Very interesting day by the way. Woke up at Neringa’s place about 2 PM and then we all went to Laurynas. We were greeted with very fucking-licious meal - paprika stuffed with meat. And this is the second time I tried Laurynas mothers skills at cooking.
P.S. IRAQ WAR IS OVER - The New York Times. Sorry, but this is Prank. More about very interesting and time/money comsuming prank here. With hope that Obama will follow his promises.
